The Story Behind the Free Printable Coloring Book for Kids

The coloring pages were inspired by my award-winning picture book I Don’t Want to Move!, part of the Charlotte & Friends Lead the Way series.

In the story, Charlotte is facing a big change — moving to a new home. Like many children, she feels unsure about what lies ahead. Through friendship, courage, and kindness, Charlotte discovers that new beginnings can lead to wonderful adventures.

Many parents and teachers enjoy reading the story first and then using the coloring pages as a follow-up activity to help children talk about their feelings.

Stories like this help children:

✨ understand that change is a normal part of life✨ build confidence during transitions✨ see that new friendships can grow in unexpected places
